‘Ditch the MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK’: Elon Musk Fires Back at Trump After Oval Office Diss

The feud between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk is heating up.
Trump was asked about Musk’s criticism of his “Big, Beautiful” budget bill in the Oval Office on Thursday and responded by attributing the Tesla CEO’s unhappiness to less-than-pure motives.
“Elon’s upset because we took the EV mandate and, you know, which was a lot of money for electric vehicles, and, you know, they’re having a hard time, the electric vehicles, and they want us to pay billions of dollars in subsidy,” mused Trump, who said he was “very disappointed” in his erstwhile ally.
Musk took umbrage at that characterization.
“Whatever. Keep the EV/solar incentive cuts in the bill, even though no oil & gas subsidies are touched (very unfair!!), but ditch the MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK in the bill,” wrote Musk in a post responding to a clip of Trump in the Oval. “In the entire history of civilization, there has never been legislation that both big and beautiful. Everyone knows this! Either you get a big and ugly bill or a slim and beautiful bill. Slim and beautiful is the way.”
In another quote-tweet of a Trump clip, Musk objected to Trump’s assertion that “he [Musk] knew every aspect of this bill. He knew it better than almost anybody, and he never had a problem until right after he left.”
“False, this bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!” shot back Musk.
