‘It’s Not a Bad Idea!’ Tim Dillon Cracks Up Bernie Sanders by Pushing for AOC-Marjorie Taylor Greene ‘Unity Ticket’

Tim Dillon cracked up Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) by suggesting a wild “unity ticket” for the 2028 presidential election: Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

Sanders joined Dillon on Wednesday for The Tim Dillon Show, where he promoted his new book Fighting Oligarchy. The hour-plus interview ended with a discussion about Sanders’s support for New York City Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani. Dillon joked Mamdani, a self-described Democratic socialist, could move to the “center” once in office and start being wined and dined by billionaires.

Sanders dismissed the possibility and mentioned that he and Ocasio-Cortez will be campaigning for the Democrat, who is currently leading his competition by double digits in most polling.

“Is she running for president?” Dillon asked when he heard Ocasio-Cortez’s name. “How about a unity ticket? Marjorie and Cortez!”

Sanders laughed at the possibility.

“What about that? Marjorie Taylor Greene and AOC,” Dillon said.

“You came up with that idea right here,” Sanders responded.

“It’s actually my idea. It’s not a bad idea,” Dillon said.

Ocasio-Cortez and Greene have valleys of differences in their politics, but Greene has been growing more critical of Republicans on issues like the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and healthcare.

During his interview with Dillon, Sanders argued Democrats have not been focused enough on issues that working class Americans are concerned about, like housing, inflation, and more. Former Vice President Kamala Harris’s 2024 campaign, he said, was an example of an unfocused campaign too influenced by big money.

“Kamala did not run a campaign focused on the needs of the working class, didn’t run a campaign focused on healthcare, on economics, and raising the minimum wage, on paid family and medical leave, on housing, on all of the issues that working people are struggling with right now. And I think her not focused on those issues allowed [Donald] Trump to win, in my view,” Sanders said.
