Savannah Guthrie Pleads for Her Mother’s Kidnapper to Reveal Her Location in New Video: ‘Help Us Bring This Situation to an End’

NBC News anchor Savannah Guthrie posted a new video on Monday pleading for her mother’s kidnapper to reveal where she is.
Nancy Guthrie, Savannah’s mother, has been missing since February, when she suddenly vanished from her Arizona home. Police quickly determined that Nancy did not leave her home willingly, kicking off a months-long search for the 84-year-old. In the time since Nancy’s disappearance, police have investigated numerous alleged ransom notes. While some were admitted fakes, others contained information that led investigators to believe they may have come from the culprit.
Those notes, however, did not bring them any closer to locating Savannah’s mother. Just a few weeks into the search, Savannah announced a $1 million reward for any information leading to her mother’s return.
On Monday, Savannah took to Instagram to again plead for her mother’s return. In the video, she said her family was in “agony” and that “nothing about our situation has changed.” She added:
We will always ache for her, feel that hole in our hearts. The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, and I know that you have tried to do things the right way. So I’m asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now. Make the right choice. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her. I truly believe it is never too late to do the right thing. Help us bring this situation to an end — for all of us, no matter where we’ve been and what we’ve done. I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice.
