President Donald Trump is using his time on the long-haul flight to Asia by posting a flurry of political endorsements full of praise for “MAGA warriors” and “America First Patriots.”

Trump left for Asia on Friday and was expected to land in Malaysia Sunday morning to meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, before heading on to Japan and South Korea for a consequential meeting with China’s President Xi Jinping.

Trump posted a series of 28 endorsement, one right after the other, over a period of 17 hours to Truth Social, that were each nearly identical in format, suggesting a “cut-and-paste” strategy.

Trump wrote his first glowing post for Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA), whom Trump claimed was “doing a truly fantastic job representing the Great People of Georgia’s 9th Congressional District!”

After a brief biography, Trump wrote, “Andrew Clyde has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election – HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

The subsequent posts followed the exact same format: stating that the Republican was doing a “truly fantastic,” “incredible,” or “terrific” job for their constituents; followed by a brief biography touting the lawmaker’s record on GOP issues, using language like “PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH,” “Energy DOMINANCE,” and promoting “MADE IN THE U.S.A.”

Each endorsement summed up with the same line: the lawmaker “has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election – HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

Trump’s endorsement marathon comes in anticipation of the 2026 midterm elections, which will be seen as a referenda on the performance of Trump’s party, “with voters rewarding or punishing on key issues accordingly,” according to The Center For Politics.

The stakes are high for Republicans, who hold the slimmest of majorities in both the House and Senate. The government shutdown, high prices, and National Guard troops in the streets could be major factors that turn the tide for the majority led by a president who promised to bring down prices and usher in a Golden Age of America.
