‘You’ve Lost the Plot!’ Charlamagne Goes Off on Enes Kanter Freedom for ‘Manufacturing a Spectacle’ at WNBA Game

Charlamagne Tha God branded former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom the “Donkey of the Day” for his stunt at Sunday’s WNBA game between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky.

Kanter Freedom, who has declared himself eligible for the 2027 WNBA Draft, was ejected from the game after clashing with Sky guard Natasha Cloud. He attended the game wearing a T-shirt that read “WOMAN noun. adult human female.”

Kanter Freedom was “sitting courtside at the game trolling the women playing,” Charlamagne said. Cloud “had some words,”and Kanter Freedom stepped onto the court before he was escorted off by security.

“Now, before anybody starts screaming about politics or transgender rights or women’s rights, whatever side of the culture war you woke up ready to fight for on this Monday morning, understand something,” Charlamagne continued. “I’m not giving Enes Kanter Freedom the donkey today because he believes biological males shouldn’t compete against biological females in women’s sports. I agree with him on that. OK, that’s not even a debate for me.”

“I’m giving him the donkey today because this guy has somehow decided that the best way to protect women’s basketball is to disrupt women’s basketball,” he said. “You, Enes, have become what you claim to hate because I haven’t seen anyone threaten women’s basketball more than you.”

Kanter Freedom and his supporters “have called 911 screaming about a five-alarm fire that isn’t happening” because there are no transgender women playing in the WNBA right now, Charlamagne continued.

He insisted:

“There’s a difference between raising awareness about something you believe could become a problem and manufacturing a spectacle around a hypothetical problem because the spectacle gets you attention, OK? And it’s all you are doing is performance art, and I need you to get off the stage because your show sucks.”

Cloud briefly addressed the incident on social media. “To every trans kid/person,” she wrote. “You are a part of my community & tribe. You belong. You’re loved. You’re seen. You’re perfect as you are. & you will always be protected by me.”
