Jesse Watters Mocks Bird After It Hit Fox Window: ‘The Dumbest Bird We’ve Ever Seen’

The Five was joined by an unexpected guest Monday after a bird flew straight into the Fox News studio window, prompting Jesse Watters to dub it “the dumbest bird we’ve ever seen.”

The network’s Emily Compagno, who was just announced Monday as the show’s new permanent co-host, was in the middle of discussing the politically contentious issue of data centers when the visitor made its entrance.

“One of the main arguments spreading against—” she began before a sudden thud interrupted her, apparently the sound of the bird hitting the window. Looking incredibly shocked, Compagno scanned the room, seemingly trying to determine the source of the noise.

“A bird just flew in the window,” Watters was heard explaining in the background.

“Oh my gosh,” the new co-host said before moving on. Her colleagues were caught giggling off-camera.

While the network’s Greg Gutfeld was next to comment on data centers, followed by Dana Perino, as soon as it was Watters’ turn to speak, he exclaimed, “I’ve been doing this show for a while. We just saw a bird fly into the window. That’s never happened. That’s gotta be the dumbest bird we’ve ever seen.”

“It’s a sign,” added Perino.

“What is it a sign of?” questioned Watters.

“I don’t know,” granted Perino.

“More on that later,” joked Watters.

“Probably a [New York City Mayor Zohran] Mamdani supporter,” theorized Gutfeld.

“Flying blind,” concluded Watters before sarcastically quipping, “I cannot wait to talk more about data centers. Are we doing the WNBA next?”

“Yes,” a co-host was heard confirming.

“Awesome,” declared Watters.

Notably, he has expressed his exasperation with WNBA segments before, emphasizing, “This again?!” when talking about the subject in early August. During that same segment, he went further, admitting he felt “like boycotting” that portion of the show altogether.
