James Carville Takes Down Epstein Video, Edits Podcast After Letter From Melania Trump’s Lawyer
James Carville kicked off the latest episode of his podcast by apologizing and revealing he’d received a letter from First Lady Melania Trump’s lawyer.
On the Politics War Room podcast, Carville said he’d taken down a video centered on Melania Trump and Jeffrey Epstein and he’d also edited comments from the podcast where the original quotes came from.
The YouTube video in question was titled, “James Carville: The EPSTEIN Connection – TRUMP & MELANIA.”
Melania Trump herself posted the image to X where she included Carville’s apology.
Carville said on his podcast:
In last week’s podcast episode, we spoke with Judd Legum. After the episode, we received a letter from Melania Trump’s lawyer. He took issue with our title of one of those YouTube videos from that episode and a couple of comments I made about the first lady. We took a look at what they complained about and we took down the video and edited out those comments from the episode. I also take back these statements and apologize.
Carville’s apology follows The Daily Beast also needing to take down a post that included the claim that Melania Trump was introduced to Donald Trump through Epstein, the late billionaire child predator who died of an apparent suicide in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges. The claim in The Daily Beast’s article came from controversial author Michael Wolff.
“Editor’s Note. After this story was published, The Beast received a letter from First Lady Melania Trump’s attorney challenging the headline and framing of the article. After reviewing the matter, the Beast has taken down the article and apologizes for any confusion or misunderstanding,” read the note that replaced the original article.
The first lady posted an excerpt from her book to social media recently that directly disputed people like Wolff and even Hunter Biden, who claim Epstein introduced her to her husband. According to Melania Trump, the two met at New York City’s Kit Kat Club.
