Dennis Prager Brushes Off Buffalo Shooter as ‘Rare’ Part of White Population: Like ‘Those People in That Supermarket Were Struck By Lightning’

Dennis Prager brushed off the horrific Buffalo supermarket shooting that left 10 dead, comparing the tragedy to a random act of nature during a recent episode of his show.

The clip, which was posted to Twitter by Media Matters Jason Campbell, was from Thursday’s episode of The Dennis Prager Show.

Prager begins by touting American exceptionalism, saying, “Fundamentally, this is a country that has phenomenally, successfully, uniquely, successfully passed the test of the most multiracial, multi-religious, multicultural, multinational country in the history of the world.”

“And to say otherwise is to smear the greatest experiment in human diversity that has ever been engaged in!”

He then addressed the alleged Buffalo shooter, Payton Gendron, saying, “To my fellow Americans who are Black Americans. This man represents such an infinitesimally small segment of the White population.”

“That it is important that you know that it was as if those people in that supermarket were struck by lightning,” Prager said. “These things are exceedingly rare in the United States. Okay. That’s not a decent man. He’s a thug!”
