Reporter for Tucker Carlson’s Old Website Claims Pundit ‘Lashed Out’ When Confronted About Hunter Biden Friendship

Washington Free Beacon reporter Chuck Ross branded Tucker Carlson a “complete phony” who “lashed out” when confronted about his cozy ties to Hunter Biden. 

Ross on Monday claimed Carlson melted down when he was asked to confirm emails between him and former President Joe Biden’s son in 2020, which were revealed as part of the Hunter Biden laptop story first reported by the New York Post.

He said he thought Carlson would be happy to confirm the emails — which showed Carlson asking Hunter Biden to write a letter of recommendation for his son to get into Georgetown University — for journalists at The Daily Caller, the site Carlson co-founded in 2010 and where Ross was working at the time. But that was not the case.

Us Caller reporters thought this would be a great way to refute Bidenworld’s claims at that time that the laptop emails were fake or illegitimate. Someone who emailed with Hunter could verify their authenticity! We thought Tucker would be more than happy to help, and no ill will was intended. But no.

Tucker lashed out at the Daily Caller employee who was tasked with contacting him about this, saying that a story on that would be an “attack on my family,” or something along those lines.

He followed up by saying Carlson’s irritated refusal showed he was a “complete phony and fake populist.”

Ross shared the anecdote after Carlson interviewed Hunter Biden on Monday. Carlson accused President Donald Trump of being the most “flamboyantly corrupt” leader in American history in the interview, as well as told Biden he should have been extended more “grace” to Biden when he was battling his drug addiction.

As for Hunter Biden’s laptop, Carlson said it was shopped to him during his time at Fox News by “Israelis connected to Benjamin Netanyahu“;Carlson said he believed the laptop and its contents were real, but “the way it entered the bloodstream of American media was not real.”
