Rosie O’Donnell Reveals Trump Song to Kara Swisher That She’s ‘Not Allowed’ to Sing While Hosting Jimmy Kimmel

Rosie O’Donnell dished she had a salacious Wizard of Oz-themed parody ready for her longtime nemesis Donald Trump, but the man behind the curtain — or more accurately, the executives at ABC — canceled it.

O’Donnell told Kara Swisher on Monday she had her anti-Trump version of “If I Only Had a Brain” — the tune made famous by the Scarecrow in the 1939 flick — ready for late night when she guest-hosts Jimmy Kimmel’s show later this month.

There was one problem, though: ABC execs told her “they couldn’t get permission for the parody because it’s political content.”

Swisher couldn’t believe it, and O’Donnell wasn’t thrilled, either. “I have been told I’m not allowed to do that,” she explained. But she went ahead and gave Swisher a mini-rendition of the aborted song.

“His approval rate is 30, his diaper’s always dirty, I think the guy’s insane.” O’Donnell sang.

Swisher seemed to get a kick out of it, and helped out by mimicking the song’s percussion.

O’Donnell continued, “He ain’t no stable genius, got a teeny, tiny penis, and he doesn’t have a brainnnn.”

O’Donnell said her song got a “tremendous response,” but unfortunately would never make it to air. She said it wasn’t Kimmel’s fault, though.

O’Donnell praised Kimmel for the “beautiful” way he has clashed with Trump over the years, by “giving it to him in a comedic, honest, truthful, way,” as she put it.

She also saluted the comic for being “brave and bold.”

O’Donnell seemed to be in a more chipper mood on Swisher’s On podcast than she was a week ago during her interview on The View co-host Ana Navarro’s show, where she branded Trump a “pedophile” and “convicted sexual rapist.”

Navarro did not push back on either claim — suggesting she may be ignorant or indifferent to her own network paying Trump $15 million to settle a defamation lawsuit in 2024, after anchor George Stephanopoulos said he was found “liable for rape.” In fact, Trump was found liable for sexual abuse in civil court, which carries a different definition in New York.

O’Donnell will guest host Kimmel’s show for a week, starting on August 17.
