Fox Sports Host Joy Taylor Takes a Shot at Incoming Trump Administration: ‘It’s a Free Country… For a Couple More Days’
Fox Sports host Joy Taylor took a subtle shot at President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration in the middle of a discussion on air Thursday.
On Thursday’s episode of Speak, the panel was debating how Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’s legacy would be impacted if he were to win a third consecutive Super Bowl. Taylor argued that should Mahomes and the Chiefs win, they could be held in the same regard as Tom Brady and the New England Patriots during their dynasty. She then emphasized that those conversations are premature until the Chiefs pull off the NFL’s first-ever “three-peat.”
Keyshawn Johnson, however, believed it was OK to start those conversations regardless of the outcome of the 2024 NFL season. Taylor disagreed.
“I mean, you can talk nonsense if you want to,” Taylor responded. “It’s a free country — for a couple more days.”
Taylor recently made headlines when she was named a defendant in a lawsuit against multiple prominent figures within Fox Sports. In the suit, a former hairstylist accused Taylor and others of workplace harassment and creating a toxic environment. The Fox Sports host was also accused of having multiple affairs with colleagues — including a vice president — in order to further career.
Taylor has not commented on the lawsuit and has continued hosting duties on Speak.
