Iowa Reporter Reveals Bizarre Interaction With NCAA Rep When He Complained About Caitlin Clark Presser Being in a Loading Dock

An Iowa reporter received a surprising response from an NCAA representative when he complained about Caitlin Clark’s press conference being in a loading dock.
After a record-setting Elite Eight matchup against LSU, Clark and the Hawkeyes arrived in Cleveland for their Final Four game against the University of Connecticut. On Thursday, Clark took part in a press conference to talk about Friday’s highly-anticipated game.
Reporter Adam Jacobi, however, couldn’t help but notice the less-than-ideal conditions of the presser. In a video he recorded, heavy machinery could be heard being operated as Clark attempted to answer a question. She even had to lean in to hear it.

And we can barely hear her breakout interview because it’s in the middle of a loading dock and the only thing between us and the forklifts is a curtain. pic.twitter.com/4PC2HTHNhZ

Jacobi brought up the issue to the NCAA. The response, according to him, wasn’t encouraging.
“There was no perfect solution to the breakout area but you should know that you are in the minority with your complaints,” the rep told Jacobi. “Caitlin Clark provided media access for almost an hour today and if you couldn’t get what you needed from her in one of her four media sessions, that’s on you.”
I asked the NCAA site rep for comment, and received the following reply:
