CNN’s Abby Phillip Loses Patience with Table for Five Guest Over Vaccines: ‘I’m Telling You for a Fact!’

CNN’s Abby Phillip’s patience grew a little thin over a conservative guest’s take on Republicans and vaccines on Saturday’s Table for Five.

Political strategist Tim Parrish was one of the guests to join Phillip on Saturday’s Table for Five where they clashed multiple times, once being over the fiery Senate hearing where Dr. Anthony Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times while being grilled about the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown measures.

It made “no sense” for Republican lawmakers to grill Fauci, Phillip said, when he served under President Donald Trump.

The former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases was being used as a political scapegoat, Phillip argued.

“You still have Republicans to this day attacking the vaccine that their president developed through Operation Warp Speed. It makes no sense,” she said.

“Republicans aren’t attacking the vaccine,” Parrish said, cutting in.

“Oh, come on! Come on!” Phillip responded.

“They are attacking people being forced to get a vaccine. They are saying, their body, their choice. They don’t have to get a vaccine if they don’t want to. That’s what Republicans are saying,” Parrish threw back.

Phillip countered by bringing up Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), who accused Fauci of being responsible for “millions” of deaths and has vowed to pursue criminal charges.

“Tim, Tommy Tuberville said that Anthony Fauci is responsible for any adverse reactions or deaths associated with the vaccines. He claimed that the vaccines were the source of deaths in Covid, which is false,” she said.

Parrish argued Tuberville “doesn’t represent” all of the Republican Party and accused Phillip of using a “little soundbite” to make her point.

Phillip then roped in Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his criticism of vaccines.

“You’re telling me that there are no Republicans saying that the vaccine’s a problem, and I’m telling you, for a fact, that’s not true. The Health and Human Services Secretary, who we’ll talk about later in the show, his biggest anti-vax crusade has been against the Covid vaccines. He is in government right now,” she said.

Then two then battle back and forth as Phillip told Parrish he may want to have a chat with Kennedy.

“I have people in my family that got the vaccine and they’re staunch, hardcore Republicans. I talked to Republicans around the country that got the vaccine,” Parrish said.

“I’m so happy that your family is vaccinated, but you might want to talk to RFK Jr. about his attacks on the Covid vaccine, which go on even today,” Phillip shot back before ending the segment.
