Senate Republican Insists ‘Who Didn’t Have a Friend’ Who Suffered From the Covid Vaccine

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) made the bombastic claim Wednesday that everyone knew someone who dealt with complications from the Covid-19 vaccine promoted by Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Fauci testified before Congress on his guidance throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

The former Chief Medical Advisor to the President has faced intense scrutiny from Republican lawmakers over his actions throughout the pandemic, and some have even accused him of using the health crisis to enrich himself and of being enamored with his own press coverage.

He invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination dozens of times, refusing to answer questions despite having been preemptively pardoned by former President Joe Biden.

Speaking on Fox & Friends, Marshall joined a discussion about Fauci’s 2020 diary entries that were made public days before the hearing. Marshall accused Fauci of being “drunk with fame” and called him out for pushing the vaccine on the American public.

“He always said that he thought the benefits outweighed the risk of gain-of-function research,” Marshall said, “but I think, again, he was so drunk with his own fame, that he was emotionally conflicted since he funded this virus, and he overcompensates.”

“But again– and then at the end of the day, he destroys the trust of the American people for the government and created all this vaccine hesitancy, as well,” Marshall added.

“He even himself — it’s now being reported — took the vaccine and he had some type of a pulmonary infarction. I mean, who didn’t have a friend that took this vaccine and had some type of complication? A stroke, a blood clot, a young man getting some type of heart inflammation, as well. That’s what destroyed the trust in the American people for our government.”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), who grilled Fauci for nearly 45 minutes on Wednesday and threatened “repercussions” for his failure to answer, made Fauci’s diaries public for all to read.
