Daily Show Reporter Reveals To Fallon: Disturbing Erotic ‘Slash Fiction’ Featuring Stewart And Colbert
The Daily Show‘s John Oliver went on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night to discuss, among other things, his recent foray into the world of Twitter. This led to a discussion about the most disturbing thing Oliver has found on the internet: Daily Show “slash fiction.”
For the uninitiated, Oliver explained that “slash fiction” is a specific form of fan fiction online in which fans of TV shows write about “what characters on those shows would be like if they’re having sex with each other.” He stressed that this niche habit normally would “not affect his life in any way.” Until now.
Oliver said that he recently received an emailed link from a friend in England with a note that simply read, “Click on this and call me back immediately.” What he found went he went to the site was “page after page of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert having sex with me.”
He proceeded to deliver an improvised version of what he remembered of the “beautifully-written stories.”
“Softly falls the snow outside the ski lodge, inching up upon the ledge. Lit from within by the roaring fire. Around the roaring fire did sit Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert toasting marshmallows to enjoy later. In walked the butler — oh, who could that be I wonder? That’s basically racist.”
Oliver chose not to get too graphic with his reenactment, but did lament the fact that his “butler” character was not as involved in the action as he would have liked, asking “when do I at least get to have a go?”
