Epstein Victims Say Todd Blanche Told Them to ‘Get to the Point Already’ During ‘Condescending’ Meeting

Victims of convicted child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein tore into Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche on Wednesday as they dropped off copies of the Epstein Files to Republican lawmakers ahead of a Blanche confirmation vote.

Dani Bensky, who was groomed and assaulted by Epstein beginning at age 17, and other survivors spoke to the press on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, where they urged Republicans to not vote to confirm Blanche to his position. A committee vote to advance Blanche’s nomination is scheduled for Thursday in the Senate.

Bensky and others carried physical copies of the files related to Epstein’s case and dropped them off at Republicans’ offices. The survivors blasted Blanche over a recent meeting, which Blanche only took after being grilled during a hearing about meeting with victims.

Bensky called the meeting “condescending” and said Blanche provided no answers on why zero prosecutions have come out of the files or why longtime Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell transferred prisons after meetings with Blanche that also led to no charges or convictions.

Maxwell is currently serving 20 years for sex trafficking, which the Department of Justice said she did in coordination with Epstein. Epstein died of an apparent suicide while facing sex trafficking charges in 2019.

Bensky said:

The meeting was very condescending. It was a lot of talking in circles. It was a lot of arguing semantics and not a lot of actually getting to the core points. We went in with quite a few points that we needed answers to. We needed answers to why Galen Maxwell was moved. We needed answers to why investigative leads haven’t been followed or even brought — you know, [James] Comer’s office just made two referrals. Why aren’t we following those referrals that came from your own party? And basically we walked away with absolutely no answers and it felt like a very no win situation. They can speak to some of that as well.

Asked for an example of Blanche being condescending, Bensky said Blanche told them to “get to the point” during the sit-down.

She said:

I mean, he actually said the words ‘get to the point’ to us — where survivors who have been waiting to meet with him for nine months, eight months, we’ve been asking for meetings — and he very much said, ‘can you get to the point already?’ Like, what are you, what are you getting at? So to treat us with that sort of — there was no integrity. There was no understanding that he’s dealing with the largest sex trafficking ring that we’ve seen in the US ever. Instead, it was like, you have an Epstein problem, right?

Jess Michaels, another victim of Epstein’s, previously also described the meeting as condescending when speaking to MS NOW.

“I think his attempt at empathy and compassion really came off as patronizing and condescending. So I did not feel that he was a public servant there addressing crime victims that had that experienced horrific abuse,” she said.
