FNC Finishes 4th In Prime Time Cable Ratings – Rest Of Cable News Out Of Top 25

It was a big news week last week - and Fox News once again made the top 5 cable networks in prime time (total viewers). Despite reports of "major ratings victories" for CNN, the network was 29th in that category. Instead, things looked pretty much the same on cable news, although all of cable saw some shuffling.Here are the top 5. #1- TNT: 2,871,000 total viewers As the NBA Playoffs heated up, TNT unseated USA as the top cable network last week. The Celtics/Cavaliers game on Saturday night was the top cable show of the week. >>>The Number Two Cable Network Last Week Is... #2- USA Network: 2,719,000 total viewers While USA didn't finish 1st, it still was #2. The network had 5 of the top 14 shows last week. >>>The Number Three Cable Network Last Week Is... #3- ESPN: 1,895,000 total viewers ESPN cracked the top 5 last week as well, largely thanks to their airings of the NBA Playoffs. The Lakers/Thunder game on Friday night was #5 on all of cable. >>>The Number Four Cable Network Last Week Is... #4- Fox News: 1,817,000 total viewers FNC finished 4th, with MSNBC 27th, CNN 29th and HLN 34th in prime time total viewers. During total day it was more of the same, with FNC #6 and CNN 22nd MSNBC 29th and HLN 35th. So while last week did see CNN improve somewhat from where they've recently been, it wasn't significant (and they still finished 3rd behind MSNBC in prime time total viewers.
