Fox Anchor Smacks Meteorologist’s Butt: ‘That Was Inappropriate’
So this was a deliciously awkward segment — that is, if you enjoy goofy flirting and dirty humor between two TV people who are clearly very close friends.
Appearing Thursday morning on Fox’s Philadelphia station, Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean got a firm smack on the behind from anchor Mike Jerrick, who was holding a children’s book.
Dean, a.k.a., “The Weather Machine,” was in-studio to promote her new kids’ book Froddy the Frogcaster and the Big Blizzard, and announce that she is already working on yet another sequel in the series. Jerrick, a long-time Fox colleague of Dean’s, was so damn proud of her accomplishments that he took the hard copy of her book and planted a big ol’ tap on the butt.
“That was inappropriate, but I apologize,” he muttered, as Dean continued to describe the next chapter in her literature career.
Later on in the segment, Dean gave Jerrick a big wet kiss on the cheek, telling him she misses her “TV boyfriend.”
His dirty weather pun in response: “Now I have an occluded front.”
Aside from anchoring the Fox 29 morning broadcast, Jerrick is a fill-in host for Fox & Friends Weekend. He is also obviously good buds with Dean.
