Jesse Watters Takes On Hillary Clinton’s Health: She’s ‘Acted a Little Erratic in The Past’
President Donald Trump could fire every single person from his administration in one sweeping tweet, and Fox News host Jesse Watters would still be alerting his audiences about Hillary Clinton’s head colds.
The host of Fox News’ Watters’ World opened his Saturday night show with an update that had nothing to do with Andrew McCabe’s historic firing just hours earlier, or the president’s scathing tweets about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the 2016 election. He was apparently still far too concerned about a report published a day earlier which said Clinton injured her wrist.
“As you’ve all seen, Hillary has acted a little erratic in the past,” Watters began, before showing a series of clips of Clinton coughing, drinking water and tripping while walking into an airplane. “Hillary has a history of ailments … she has blood clots in her brain, she’s tripped and broke her toe, she’s fainted, and now we’ve learned she just broke her wrist in a bathtub in India.”
Watters went on to show another video of Clinton falling down several steps while on a tour through India. “Clearly, she’s not well,” he added. The anchor then went on to discuss the “American work ethic” immediately after decrying her supposedly poor health.
“Bottom line: Hillary lost because she was a deplorable candidate,” Watters concluded.
It’s not the first time Fox News has focused on Clinton’s post-election health in the midst of chaotic news out of Trump’s White House. The network criticized her for coughing before a commencement speech at Wellesley University in May of last year, shortly after former FBI Director James Comey’s firing and other historic developments in Trump’s Russia scandal.
“Quite the juxtaposition to how strong our president looked this week traveling, you know, all the way to the Middle East and Europe,” Fox News contributor and former MTV Real World cast member Rachel Campos-Duffy said at the time. “After resting and drinking Chardonnay, and cleaning her closets like she talked about in her speech you would presume she’d be in better shape.”
Watters also previously visited the Clinton’s hometown of Chappaqua, New York, to mockingly search for her in the woods when she said she took hikes after losing the election to Trump. Fox News’ Jeannine Pirro also took a trip to Chappaqua, walking through the streets and yelling Clinton-related questions at passerby and into unsuspecting laundromats, like “Does Hillary drop off her pantsuits here?!”
In a world of daily controversies arising almost entirely thanks to the president, the most important person we should be discussing is a private citizen with no impact on politics or the Oval Office. It’s clear that Watters and his colleagues at Fox News are #StillWithHer.
