Johnny Depp Slurs His Way Through Bizarre Hollywood Awards Speech

Actor Johnny Depp was called upon to present an award to agent Shep Gordon, the subject of subject of Mike Myers’ new documentary, Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon at last night’s Hollywood Awards. But he did not seem entirely up to the task.

“That’s the weirdest microphone I’ve ever seen in my life,” Depp slurred after walking on stage, seeming like someone who had never seen a microwave before. “I’m not very good at this kind of thing,” he said, scratching his head and dropping some bleeped profanity to the delight of the crowd.

“I mean, it’s one of those nights,” he said, before the show cut him off by playing a clip from the film.
