The birth is historic as the boy will be fifth in line to the throne rather than fourth (after Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte). This change was made to do away with the sexism of royal lineage, so Princess Charlotte will maintain her fourth spot in line rather than move to fifth to make way for her younger brother.
