‘Such Vicious People, Wow!’: Carville Responds to Progressive Candidate’s Personal Diss on Fox News
Veteran political strategist James Carville threw some sarcastic jabs back at progressive liberals insulting and dismissing him during a Fox News interview.
Carville joined Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany on Saturday in America and she ran through multiple clips of people blasting him. One was a discussion between Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed and far-left streamer Hasan Piker in which El-Sayed claimed Carville said “one smart things once” and he doesn’t know why anyone listens to him today.
“Now James Carville’s talking about leaving the party. We got John Fetterman, James Carville fantasizing about leaving the party. I’m like, you’re sweetening the deal,” Piker told El-Sayed during a stream.
Carville previously threatened to ditch the Democratic Party if they continue embracing Piker.
“Why does anybody still listen to James Carville?” El-Sayed asked. “He said one smart thing once, which he seems to have forgotten, which is, it’s the economy, stupid.”
Carville laughed off the insults, saying, “They’re blistering me. I don’t know what I can do. I can’t take it! Please, mama, help me!”
He added, “Such vicious people, wow!”
Carville still predicted El-Sayed will win his race.
McEnany next played a clip of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) encouraging Carville to leave the party and start his own.
“If Mr. Carvel doesn’t want to be in my party, the party that I belong to, that Piker belongs to, that El-Sayed belongs to, he can start his own party,” Sanders told CNN.
Carville threw some shade Sanders’s way, saying he may have “animosity” over failing “spectacularly” with his presidential runs, and he questioned why Sanders would even refer to himself as a Democrat.
He said:
They don’t have to worry, I’ll be 82 in October, so I don’t have much longer. You know, Sen. Sanders was not a Democrat, he was a socialist. He didn’t register as a Democrat. So I don’t know. When he was a socialist, I was a Democrat. I’m still a Democrat. Is he one now? I have no idea. I do know that maybe he has some animosity because he tried twice to to get the Democratic nomination for president and he failed rather spectacularly both times, but you know, I can’t do anything about these people. In their life, they’ve never run anything big in their mouth.
During the same interview, Carville admitted he’s so perplexed by the ideas that the “progressive left” presents that he can only imagine they are coming from an AI “stupid idea generator.”
“Look, I think that the progressive left, they’re very tech people, I think they’ve come up with an AI random stupid idea generator,” he said.
