WATCH: Emmy Award-Winner Wows Audience By Proposing Marriage Mid-Speech
An Emmy-award winner provided a showstopping moment by proposing marriage during his acceptance speech.
Glenn Weiss, who won the Emmy for Best Director of a Variety Special for his work on the Oscars, stunned the crowd by proposing to his girlfriend, Jan Svendson.
After thanking Svendson, Weiss said, “You wonder why I don’t like to call you my girlfriend? Because I want to call you my wife.”
At that point, the crowd burst into cheers. Svendson eventually made her way on stage — where Weiss dropped to a knee and popped the question.
As if there was any doubt, Svendson said yes.
