WATCH: Odyssey Star Tom Holland Makes Hot Ones History — and Not in a Good Way

Hollywood star Tom Holland made Hot Ones history in memorable and messy fashion Thursday after becoming the first celebrity to vomit on camera during an appearance on the hit YouTube interview series.

The actor, who was promoting Christopher Nolan’s newly released epic The Odyssey alongside co-star Jon Bernthal, who also co-stars with him in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, struggled through the popular show’s lineup of 10 hot chicken wings, each with progressively hotter sauces, eaten while answering interview questions from First We Feast host Sean Evans.

Holland, however, reached his breaking point as the interview wrapped.

As the ordeal ended, Holland and Bernthal posed with Evans for promotional shots after completing the challenge when Holland suddenly began coughing uncontrollably.

Moments later, he bent over and vomited on the floor before immediately standing back up laughing.

Bernthal quickly turned the moment into a celebration, clapping and shouting: “Let’s go! Let’s go! Take a picture of it!”

Holland then joked with the production crew that they could leave the footage in the final edit, adding that he was relieved none of it had landed on his shirt.

Evans then informed Holland of his honor, he had become the first guest in the history of Hot Ones to vomit on camera.

“I love being the first,” Holland replied.

The incident had already been teased earlier this month during a promo circuit interview with The New York Times for its NYT’s Cooking show when Holland recounted filming the episode alongside Bernthal.

“Jon Bernthal and I did Hot Ones the other day. I fully vomited on camera,” Holland said. “Full-time. Like, I’m standing there. We’re laughing, having a good time and I [vomited].

“And it was also pure milk. Because I’d been nailing the milk,” he quipped, offering extra detail no one needed.

Another of Holland’s Odyssey co-stars, Matt Damon, who was appearing alongside Holland during the interview, revealed he had also vomited after filming the show, but managed to hold back until after the cameras had stopped rolling.
