Fox’s Tarlov Throws Fox News Poll Back At Co-Hosts: ‘Was Absolutely Brutal for Republicans’

Fox News host Jessica Tarlov pushed back against her co-hosts on The Five on Thursday after Jesse Watters cited a recent Fox News poll to argue that the Democratic Party is out of step with average Americans.

Watters introduced the poll at the top of the show and noted that it found majorities of Democrats support both “Socialism” and the “DSA” while only 41% of them support “Capitalism.”

Later in the show, Tarlov returned to the poll and added, “But there was a lot more to that Fox poll, and it was absolutely brutal for Republicans.”

“And that is going to be the choice in November. Democrats have 53 to 46. In counties where the presidential vote was close — so, decided within 10 points — Democrats have 59-41, up on inflation and prices and the economy. Young people, old people, women, independents — the only group that Donald Trump was up with was white voters, and that was just GOP plus one. That is the election that Democrats are thinking about. I understand that the civil war thing is—” Tarlov argued as Brian Kilmeade jumped in, “Should be thinking about, but they’re not. They’re not.”

“No, they are,” Tarlov hit back.

“But some of these candidates, if they emerge — if El-Sayed emerges, I mean, Rogers walks to that,” Kilmeade insisted, citing the Michigan U.S. Senate race.

“Well, I don’t know if he walks. Listen—” Tarlov said as she was interrupted again.

“Donald Trump is an animating factor in an election for the people who like him and the people who hate him,” Tarlov concluded, arguing that she believes Trump is the Democrats’ best asset these midterms even if there is infighting in the party.
