‘We Made Peace!’ Alan Dershowitz Says Larry David ‘Apologized’ to Him and Ended Trump Feud

Lawyer Alan Dershowitz revealed that he and Larry David have “made peace” after a public falling out over President Donald Trump.

Dershowitz was asked about his feud with David during a Newsmax appearance on Friday, and he said the comedian “essentially apologized” after saying Dershowitz “made a deal with the devil.” David was upset about Dershowitz representing Trump in his first impeachment trial.

Dershowitz said:

Larry David called me out of the blue and essentially apologized and said the Brooklyn came out in him and he shouldn’t have done that and he should’ve called me and we had a half an hour call on the phone. And we made peace. If I can make peace with Larry David, I think anybody can make peace with anybody else. So we declared peace. It’s private, obviously, but I’m pleased that he did reach out and call me and I then reached out and called him and sent him a copy of one of my books.

Dershowitz and David had been friendly up until 2021 when there was a confrontation in Martha’s Vineyard where David refused to shake Dershowitz’s hand and called him “disgusting.”

“Larry David doesn’t talk to me anymore,” Dershowitz said just last month in an interview with The Atlantic. “He screams and yells at me when he sees me.”

It was after the publication of that interview when David reached out, according to Dershowitz.

In other comments about the feud, he’s called David “nasty” and “mean.”

David responded to Dershowitz’s new comments last month, saying, “I don’t know why he’s still thinking and talking about me.”

The Curb Your Enthusiasm star added, “I have lots of confrontations on my show but rarely in life. And then only if I think I can take them in a fight. Hence the Dershowitz dust-up.”
