Caught on Camera - Trump Lawyer Alina Habba At Trump Campaign Party — After She Told Rape-Defamation Trial Judge She Was Sick b

Trump attorney Alina Habba raised eyebrows when she was spotted at a campaign party — and caught on camera — the day after she told the judge in former President Donald Trump’s defamation trial that she was sick.

Trump lashed out Monday over a delay in the trial involving  E. Jean Carroll — whom a jury found Trump liable for sexually abusing and defaming — despite the fact that it was his lawyers who decided on the delay.

One juror was sent home sick, but the judge and Carroll’s attorney were willing to continue with eight jurors. It was Trump’s team that asked for a delay after Habba told the judge she had been exposed to Covid, did not feel well, and had a fever.

But NBC News reported that Habba was spotted at Trump’s victory party Tuesday night. NBC’s Garrett Haake wrote:

Trump’s attorney Alina Habba is at his campaign’s return party in New Hampshire.

Habba, who is representing Trump in the New York civil defamation case brought by E. Jean Carroll, became the subject of discussion when she told the court yesterday that her family had Covid and she had been exposed. After a juror tested positive, the case was delayed, and it isn’t scheduled to resume until Thursday.

Several other outlets picked up the story, noting Habba’s claim to have been ill just hours earlier. MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin wrote that she didn’t necessarily think this meant that Habba lied:

As it turns out, Habba was caught on camera at least once during the festivities — in a photo that was tweeted by Trump supporter Dylan Quattrucci:

Quattrucci was present during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, and claimed to have been tear-gassed during the riot. After video surfaced of Quattrucci telling police officers “go hang yourself,” he reportedly resigned his position as the Trump campaign’s deputy state director in New Hampshire.
