News of the incident in Finsbury Park follows the London Bridge terror attack from early June, in which three assailants plowed a van into pedestrians, before attacking people with knives in Borough Market, killing 8 and injuring dozens more.
Haruna Khan, the secretary general of the Muslim Council, tweeted that “a van has intentionally run over worshippers”:
Shocked and outraged to hear a van has intentionally run over worshippers leaving #Ramadan night prayers on Seven Sisters Road #FinsburyPark
