CNN Responds to Local Network’s Allegation They Spiked Border Wall Report: ‘This is a Non Story’
CNN fired back at a local San Diego network that accused them of declining a segment supposedly because it featured a favorable opinion of President Donald Trump’s pursuit of a border wall.
We called several local stations to book someone for a show. We didn’t end up booking any of them. That happens many times every single day. We did, however, book a reporter from KUSI for a story on immigration and the border wall in November. This is a non story. #factsfirst?

San Diego’s KUSI drew attention on Friday after claiming CNN asked them to provide them with a local view of the U.S.-Mexico border, but pulled the plug on the segment after learning that the correspondent was set to speak favorably about the border wall. According to CNN, however, they contacted numerous local outlets for the segment they had in mind, and it’s not out of the ordinary to end up dropping certain segments due to time constraints and the like.
