A former anchor from Altoona, Pennsylvania, Danielle Krout-Kaza, has been charged with criminal mischief because cops say that on June 18, she carved words into her husband’s car while he was “watching a movie with a woman at a home along Second Street,” according to the Altoona Mirror.
Her husband, Ryan Kaza, and the woman he was with both claimed to police that Krout-Kaza banged on the door and when they came out later, they discovered the damage, which allegedly totals $6000.
Kaza is facing felony charges for beating a then-pregnant Krout-Kaza so badly in January that she had to have medical staples put in her head. He was released on a $10,000 bond and the Mirror reports that beyond a preliminary meeting last month, the case has not progressed. His wife, who has a protection-from-abuse order against him, now has a preliminary hearing in August.
For now, details are sparse, but the public page appearing to belong to Krout-Kaza has a message from a supporter…
…and a response from the former anchor that hints that there may be more to learn:
Note that the edited version of her response simply says “Thanks” but that the original version included an assurance that “the truth will be told.”
