In perhaps the most Kanye West move ever, professional narcissist Kanye West stopped his concert in Sydney, Australia because two fans wouldn’t stand up per his request. The fans turned out to be disabled, with one in a wheelchair.
“I decided I can’t do this song, I can’t do the rest of the show until everybody stands up,” West said told the crowd, in a video first spotted by the Daily Beast. “Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and shit.”
Welp. “There’s literally two people left who don’t want to stand up,” West said, causing the crowd to boo them. “This is the longest I’ve had to wait to do a song, it’s unbelievable.” He eventually led the arena in a chant of “Stand up!” until some nearby fans began signaling to West that something was awry.
Finally West figured it out. “Is he in a wheelchair?” West asked. “Now if he is in a wheelchair, then it’s fine.”
At a following concert West told the crowd that incident was “bullshit blown out of proportion.” And if anybody on this green dumb earth knows about bullshit blown out of proportion…
