Niece of Former Fox News Reporter Adam Housley Killed in Thousand Oaks Mass Shooting
Alaina Housley, niece of former Fox News national correspondent Adam Housley and actress Tamera Mowry, has died in the mass shooting that killed 12 people at a bar in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Alaina, 18, was one of nearly 20 Pepperdine University students at Borderline Bar and Grill at the time of the shooting.
Adam told the Los Angeles Times that “two of Alaina’s suitemates jumped through a broken window” and were cut by glass, suffering “major wounds” while escaping from the gunman.
“You just don’t think it’s going to happen to you,” Adam said. “She’s an amazing girl.”
Adam and Tamera released the following statement:
“Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks. Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”
