Please Allow These LEGOs to Show You How That Iowa Caucus-Thingy Works
With how many complicated intricacies make up the American political system, it’s perfectly understandable why some people might not fully grasp the importance of today’s 2016 caucus in Iowa. Fortunately, the good people at Vermont Public Radio realize this too, so they set out to create an edu-tainment video to explain how the caucus works in a way that everyone can easily understand.
As they clearly show, you don’t need to reach any further than your kid’s LEGO set to make sense of how the caucus plays into American elections.
Since the caucus simply asks that Iowans cast their votes for the Republican nominees, the video places greater focus on the Democratic side, exploring how preference groups determine the viability of the candidates across various precincts.
That wasn’t so hard to understand now, was it?
