Sign Up For Mediaite’s New ‘Media Winner and Loser of the Day’ Newsletter!

screen-shot-2017-01-11-at-4-05-03-pmWe know how much you’ve loved our newsletter ever since we totally revamped and overhauled it this fall, so we’ve continued to work on making your daily email from Mediaite the best it can be. The latest version we’ve come up with just might be the most fun of all!

Social media manager Ben Fearnow explains, “Basically, the focus is the Winner/Loser format at the top, then a 3-4 paragraph run-down of the top stories on Mediaite in a given 24-hour period.”

That’s right: we’ll be telling you the biggest winner and biggest loser in media every day. From Tucker Carlson‘s win when he took over the 9:00 time slot on Fox News to Yahoo Finance‘s loss when they forgot to proofread a tweet, we make the call based on a day’s worth of media observation from our whole staff.

“Our editors are monitoring almost every channel and news platform 24 hours a day, and can tell you when a major media player makes a huge blunder before most have even heard or seen it. ” Jon Nicosia, Managing Editor of Mediaite.com said, “And with our new newsletter format, you’ll be on top of all of the day’s major media mess-ups. Of course, we won’t forget to include those media stars who are going above and beyond to pull their journalist weight each day.”

After you learn who won and who lost for the day, you can scroll down for a three- to four-paragraph synopsis of what’s been trending on the site. Yesterday, it was all about Meryl Streep bashing Donald Trump at the Golden Globes and how the media was reacting. Today, it’s looking like all of the focus is on Trump and his battle with CNN’s Jim Acosta.

Because we like to play fair, we’ll link out to other sites’ excellent original reporting alongside our own.

All in all, we know you’ll love these additions and we encourage you to sign up here.
