Tucker Carlson (Sort of) Apologizes to Lauren Duca – Then Calls Her ‘Vapid,’ ‘Not Very Impressive’
“Do you remember Lauren Duca?” Tucker Carlson asked during the opening segment of Tucker Carlson Tonight Thursday.
How could we forget her? In one of 2016’s most explosive cable news showdowns, Duca — a TeenVogue contributor — and Carlson slugged it out in a tense, fiery segment. That night, Duca ripped Carlson as a “partisan hack,” while Carlson said, “You should stick to the thigh-high boots.”
Thursday night, Carlson said he regretted his conduct during his interview with Duca.
Carlson said that Duca, “delivered a performance so mindless and nasty that I lost control and snapped at her. I shouldn’t have done it, but I did.”
But lest you think it was all sunshine and rainbows from Carlson, the Fox News host promptly pivoted and again tore into Duca. (Whose rise to prominence Carlson took credit for Thursday night, saying, “We’re happy to make people famous.”) Calling her “vapid,” and “not very impressive,” Carlson ripped Duca for a now-deleted tweet in which she wrote “Cute pic of Trump getting tired of winning” and added an image of a plane on fire.
“That’s civil discourse for you,” Carlson said.
Duca responded on Twitter with this:

We suspect we haven’t seen the last of this rivalry.
