WATCH LIVE: Sarah Sanders Holds First White House Press Briefing in Nearly a Month

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a rare press briefing today — and since this will be her first one in nearly month, the press corps will undoubtedly have many questions. The briefing is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.

Sanders will most certainly be asked about President Donald Trump‘s rejection of his administration’s report on the long-term impact of climate change. Thirteen Federal agencies support the government’s findings that climate shifts will have major economic and environmental consequences for America throughout the next century. Trump was asked about the report on Monday, and he told reporters he rejects the findings.

Another topic Sanders figures to be asked about is Trump’s decision to take Saudi Arabia’s side over the death of Jamal Khashoggi. Trump has said that he accepts the Saudi Royal Family’s denial of any involvement in Khashoggi’s murder, even though the CIA has assessed with “high confidence” that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the killing. The president has cited the benefits of the U.S.-Saudi alliance to justify his decision, though he still faces considerable outrage for not punishing them over the authoritarian execution of a journalist.

Other topics that will likely come up include; the use of teargas on migrants at the U.S. Southern border, Paul Manafort‘s reported meeting with WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange, and Trump’s latest slams against Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

It will also be interesting to see if Sanders takes any questions from CNN’s Jim Acosta since this will be the first briefing since the Trump Administration tried to take away his press credentials.
