RFK Jr. Says Trump Regularly Grills Him on the Phone Asking: ‘Why Aren’t People Healthier Yet?’
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said President Donald Trump regularly calls him to make sure he’s doing his job.
Kennedy on Monday led a press conference with state governors and cabinet officials to discuss food stamps. At one point in the presser, Kennedy revealed that Trump had called him the night before — and it wasn’t out of the ordinary. In fact, Kennedy claimed the president calls him several times a week to make sure he’s doing all he can to bring the “Make America Health Again” (MAHA) agenda to fruition.
“We have full support from the president,” Kennedy said in response to a question. “He wants this done. He wants — he promised to make American health again, and he’s gonna do that. He called me last night. He calls me three or four times a week and says, ‘Where are you? Why aren’t people healthier yet?’ So he’s keeping me under pressure.”
In line with the MAHA agenda, the Trump administration recently convinced Coca-Cola to expand their product lineup in the U.S. to include a version of the soda with cane sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup. For those who frequent Mexican restaurants in the U.S., Mexican bottles of Coca-Cola also use cane sugar. The overall effectiveness of that change, however, has been the subject of debate.
