Texas Governor Greg Abbott Enjoys ‘Great Day’ in INDIA Just One Day After Declaring His State Was Under ‘Invasion’

As the Texas border standoff continues to worsen, Gov. Greg Abbott appears to be managing the situation from more than 8,000 miles away in New Delhi, India.

Just one day after he sparked fears of a second civil war with his statement claiming that Texas was undergoing an “invasion” and that the government had broken its compact with Texas, social media users were surprised to see Abbott meeting with Indian business leaders on the other side of the world.

“Another great day in New Delhi,” tweeted Abbott on Thursday. “From meeting with government leaders to connecting with the next generation of Indian business leaders, this mission has helped foster even stronger ties between India and Texas.”

Abbott appears to have been in India for the past several days as the crisis in his state continues to devolve, with 25 Republican governors pledging to send their own state National Guard troops to Texas if President Joe Biden decides to federalize the Texas National Guard.

“I don’t understand how you can NOT be in Texas right now. I support you, but this is just bad timing bro,” reacted one of Abbott’s supporters, while another social media user tweeted, “Republicans are gearing up for a new Civil War while Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is in India working on outsourcing their jobs.”

Others pointed out the irony of Abbott working to bring foreign workers to Texas while at the same time standing off against the Biden administration in an effort to stop migrants from crossing the border.

In one post on Thursday, Abbott said he “was proud to highlight Texas as the premier economic destination in America,” boasting that “Indian companies have invested over $1.4 BILLION in Texas.”

On Thursday, Newsmax host Carl Higbie asked Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt about the possibility of Texas’ standoff with the federal government resulting in a “force on force” conflict.

Stitt replied that Oklahoma, Florida, Tennessee, and many “other states” would all “send our National Guard to help and to support the efforts of Governor Abbott,” if necessary, “because every state is a border state.”

In his own statement on Thursday, former President Donald Trump urged “all willing States to deploy their guards to Texas to prevent the entry of Illegals, and to remove them back across the Border.”
