Former President Donald Trump continued his feud with Fox News on Thursday and took a jab at both Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and Nikki Haley – who Trump claims is now Fox’s favorite in the race.
“FoxNews gave up on DeSanctimonious. Now they’re pushing Birdbrain,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, using his nickname for Haley – who served as his UN ambassador.
“They just haven’t learned, and probably never will!” Trump lamented.
In the last five days, Haley has been mentioned 73 times on Fox News, while DeSantis has been mentioned 82 times, according to a search of SnapStream’s cable news archives. Trump, meanwhile, has been mentioned some 568 times in the last five days on Fox.
Trump has been regularly attacking the network throughout the GOP primary, accusing it of boosting DeSantis.
“Not only is DeSanctimonious looking to destroy your Social Security, including moving the minimum age to 70, and your Medicare, but today he had a killer story in the Washington Post talking about his really bad spending habits,” Trump fumed on Truth Social in September, adding:
He’s gone, yet Fox has him all over the place, even on Hannity last night. They’ve actually picked another candidate, they just don’t know who it is yet…Ratings Freefall! I’m America First, so it will never be me!
Well, now Trump seems to believe Haley is that other candidate and is certain to escalate his attacks on the former governor of South Carolina.
