Trump Targets $1 Billion in Damages From ‘Strongly Antisemitic’ Harvard — And Demands New York Times ‘Fraudsters’ Change Report He Dropped His Price

President Donald Trump said he is seeking $1 billion in damages from Harvard University — which he branded “Strongly Antisemitic” — for its failure to protect Jewish students.

Trump went off on the Ivy League college in a late-night post on Truth Social on Monday, saying he believed the school should be facing criminal charges for what he claims was its inability to control anti-Semitism on campus.

He then followed it up with a post ripping The New York Times, which reported hours earlier that he had “backtracked” in his ongoing feud with Harvard.

The Times reported Trump dropped his “administration’s demand for a $200 million payment to the government in hopes of finally resolving the administration’s conflicts with the university, according to four people briefed on the matter.”

That was “completely wrong,” Trump posted.

He said the paper was run by “fraudsters” who get stories about him “purposely wrong” — something Trump said the public will understand soon enough, thanks to his $15 billion lawsuit against the Gray Lady.

“I hereby demand that the morons that run (into the ground!) the Times’ change their story, immediately,” Trump posted.

That post came about 40 minutes after he absolutely shredded Harvard.

He said the college has been “behaving very badly” and feeding “nonsense” to The Times for quite a while. He said the university tried to wiggle out of its battle with the Trump administration by making minor changes in an attempt to combat anti-Semitism — but those changes did not go far enough.

Here is the key section of his post:

They wanted to do a convoluted job training concept, but it was turned down in that it was wholly inadequate and would not have been, in our opinion, successful. It was merely a way of Harvard getting out of a large cash settlement of more than 500 Million Dollars, a number that should be much higher for the serious and heinous illegalities that they have committed.

This should be a Criminal, not Civil, event, and Harvard will have to live with the consequences of their wrongdoings. In any event, this case will continue until justice is served.

He continued, saying, “Dr. Alan Garber, the President of Harvard, has done a terrible job of rectifying a very bad situation for his institution and, more importantly, America, itself. He was hired AFTER the antisemitism charges were brought – I wonder why???”

Trump then said he is “now seeking One Billion Dollars in damages” from Harvard.

He added a quote from the same NYT report that he criticized, which said many Harvard employees believe the school has “no option but to eventually cut a deal.”

The president’s rant comes after a federal task force accused Harvard of “deliberate indifference” and “willful participation” in anti-Semitic harassment of students and faculty last year. His administration said the university became a hotbed for anti-Israel protests and anti-Semitism following the Hamas terror attack on October 7, 2023.

“This hostile environment includes harassing speech, threats, and intimidation targeting Jewish and Israeli students, including calls for genocide and murder,” the administration said in a report last June. “[The administration’s] findings also extensively detail acts of physical intimidation and violence between students. This hostile environment denied, and continues to deny, students’ fundamental educational opportunities.”

Trump’s administration tried to freeze $2.2 billion in Harvard funding over the anti-Semitism claims, but a federal judge blocked that from happening in September.
