Did He Pardon the Wrong Bird? Twitter Makes Stuffing Out of Trump After Turkey Ceremony
Well, it happened. President Donald Trump has pardoned his first pair of turkeys, successfully completing that most taxing of annual holiday traditions.
He even managed to avoid lambasting the “fake media” during his official remarks, before sending the adorably plump Drumstick to Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia.
Just because he didn’t call out the media, however, doesn’t mean members of the media didn’t call out him. A whole bunch of people took the opportunity to lob some spoofs and goofs at the president.
There’s even a conspiracy theory floating around the Internet that Trump officially pardoned the wrong bird, and that it may have actually been Wishbone on that leaf-strewn table.
Has #TurkeyGate officially begun? We can only hope, at least as a momentary distraction from the fact that every powerful male in history seems to be a total creep.

It must be noted, however, that despite letting the media off the hook (this time), Trump did toss a lighthearted ding at former President Barack Obama and two of his pardoned turkeys, Tater and Tot.
“As many of you know, I’ve been very active in overturning a number of executive actions by my predecessor,” he joked. “However, I have been informed by the White House counsel’s office that Tater and Tot’s pardons cannot, under any circumstances, be revoked.”
“So Tater and Tot, you can rest easy.”
