Maine Gov. Janet Mills was relentlessly trolled by someone last month over decades-old allegations that she used cocaine.

The allegations against Mills stem from a 1990 incident in which a “drug suspect” accused Mills — then a district attorney — of using cocaine.

In recent days, Fox News Digital reported on newly-obtained Justice Department documents that disputed claims from Mills that the allegations against her were politically motivated.

Mills was investigated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Maine, the DEA, and Maine’s Bureau of Intergovernmental Drug Enforcement; the probe was eventually dropped. Mills has always maintained that the investigation was a political ploy.

The motive, Mills argued, was that she had been critical of Maine’s Bureau of Intergovernmental Drug Enforcement (BIDE) in the past.

A 1995 memorandum from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Professional Responsibility, concluded that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Maine “conducted a proper investigation of serious allegations” and that “no misconduct of any kind can fairly be attributed to any member of that office.”

Last month, someone took it upon themselves to mock Mills about the alleged cocaine use. In a video sent to Fox News, the person recording it said to the governor, “Is sniffing cocaine at work a human right, Janet?”

“What the fuck?” the governor responded as she briefly stopped in her tracks.

Mills then continued walking and talking to a staffer. Undeterred, the man with the phone pressed on.

“How much more does an an eight-ball cost with inflation?” the man said.

Mills continued to ignore him as the video eventually ended.
