Trump Admin Reportedly Will Unveil Final Designs For ‘Big Beautiful’ Border Wall

“Build that wall! Build that wall!”

Perhaps no chant in history is more synonymous with a presidential campaign then the one that could be heard at nearly every Donald Trump rally prior to, and even after his victory in the 2016 presidential election.

Then-candidate Trump promised that, if elected, he would attempt to thwart the wave of illegal immigration coming across the United State’s southern border with Mexico, in part by building a “big, beautiful” wall. And now, it would appear as though the President is preparing to make good on what could arguably be considered his most prominent campaign promise.

The Trump administration reportedly plans to announce design finalists for his border wall in the very near future.

According to Breitbart News, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesperson says that “the announcement will take place sometime in the summer”, and “it will include four to eight designs for wall ‘prototypes’ to be constructed in San Diego.”

“The prototypes will allow officials to see and test the designs for themselves, according to the CBP, before making a decision on the final design for the planned wall on the Southern border.”

Back in May, President Trump’s budget director Mick Mulvaney reassured supporters that the White House would build a wall. “We are absolutely dead serious about the wall,” Mulvaney said, calling it one of the president’s “top three” budget priorities.

Some Trump supporters and border wall advocates were dismayed when the administration failed to get funding for the wall in the FYI 2017 budget funding agreement. But the President has never wavered on his pledge to construct a wall, often reassuring supporters, “don’t worry”, we’re gonna have a wall.”

While some speculated that the President might abandon his highly coveted wall, others argued that if there was one promise that he simply could not neglect to fulfill, it would be the construction of the border wall. For many, the call for this wall was the theme that defined his entire campaign and help propel him to the White House.
