Did Jesse Watters Make an Ivanka Penis Joke After Saying Left Doesn’t Respect Women? Update

What should we make of Fox News co-host Jesse Watters‘ throwaway comment that he really liked the way Ivanka Trump was “speaking into that microphone”?
During the second episode of the newly primetime show The Five, the topic turned to the chilly reception received by the President’s daughter during a recent visit to Germany.
It’s possible that he was earnestly praising Ivanka’s poise and graceful handling of an otherwise unfriendly reception. Or maybe, as a fellow public personality, he genuinely appreciated the manner in which she held the microphone on stage.
Or, as some have suggested on Twitter, he was making a sophomoric and frat-bro reference to the phallic shape of the microphone? Many on social media seem to think that’s the case, and given Watters’ history as an up-and-coming provocateur, it is certainly a reasonable assumption — perhaps, even, the most logical conclusion.
What’s even more incredible is that Watters made this apparent joke immediately AFTER discussing how the left doesn’t respect women.
The clip comes at an especially bad time for Fox News given the raft of sexual harassment allegations which have dogged the network. It appears that Mr. Watters has not yet engaged in the “sensitivity training” that has been bandied about in the past few days.

Update: We’ve heard from Mr. Watters who clarifies the true meaning of his comment, telling Mediaite “During the break we were commenting on Ivanka’s voice and how it was low and steady and resonates like a smooth jazz radio DJ. This was in no way a joke about anything else.”
