‘It’s My Honor’: Trump Speaks For First Time With Kim, Predicts ‘Terrific Relationship’

After shaking hands before the media, President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sat down for their historic denuclearization meeting in Singapore’s Capella Hotel.

As the two began to discuss their denuclearization talks, Trump said he felt “really great” to meet his North Korean counterpart.

“We’re going to have a great discussion.” Trump said. “It’s my honor. We will have a terrific relationship, I have no doubt.”

Kim also got a word in, saying, “The old prejudices and practices worked as obstacles on our way forward, but we’ve overcome all of them and we are here today.”

The two will be alone with their translators today as they talk about North Korea’s nuclear weapons and the future of East Asia.
