Jesse Watters Predicts RFK Jr. Running as Independent Will Cost Biden The White House

Fox News host Jesse Watters predicted that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent presidential campaign would cost President Joe Biden the White House.

On Friday, Mediaite’s Diana Falzone reported that Kennedy will announce his plans to drop out of the Democratic presidential primary to run as a independent on October 9th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His campaign is already constructing “attack ads” against the Democratic National Committee.

Biden has notably decided not to engage in a back and forth with Kennedy during the primary, including refusing to debate him. Both Biden and former President Donald Trump hold strong leads as the clear frontrunners in their party’s primary.

“Kennedy’s independent run will devastate Biden’s shot at re-election,” Watters claimed on his Fox News primetime show on Friday night. “Kennedy is polling at 15% with Democrats. If Biden’s the nominee, 15% of American Democrats will have Kennedy as an option. Melon-scooping a critical piece of the base away from Joe.”

“A massive miscalculation by President Biden, who was supposed to have a seasoned touch, denying Secret Service protection to a man whose father and uncle were assassinated,” he added.

Although Kennedy is running in the Democratic primary, his candidacy online has since grown a large right-leaning Republican base of support. Watters dismissed these concerns, arguing that Republicans would still vote for Trump over Kennedy on a three-way ballot.

“Refusing to debate and rigging the primary will now likely cost him the White House. Yes, some Trump-leaning voters may cast ballots for Kennedy, but if you’re a Republican and you see Trump, Biden, and the name Kennedy in the booth, you’re voting Trump,” he concluded.
