Rep. Jim Jordan Rails Against Budget Deal: ‘May Be The Worst Bill I Have Seen in My Time in Congress’

Rep. Jim Jordan railed against the mammoth spending bill Congress agreed on Wednesday to keep the government funded through September.

The $1.3 trillion bill, which included $1.6 billion for President Donald Trump’s border wall, also allocated large funding for the U.S. military and domestic programs.

“It’s not even close to what we told the American people we were going to do,” Jordan, a Republican from Ohio and Freedom Caucus member said on Fox & Friends. “So it’s not just conservatives who don’t like this bill, the American people [will] when they find out what’s in it.”

“It’s 2,200 pages that funds sanctuary cities, funds Planned Parenthood, restricts Second Amendment liberties, and grows the government at a $1.3 trillion price tag on this legislation, which will lead to a trillion dollar deficit.”

“This may be the worst bill I have seen in my time in Congress,” Jordan declared. “The worst bill our leadership has ever allowed to come to the floor.”
