Fox Host Praises ‘Sane Democrat Voters’ Trying to Stop Socialist ‘Crazy Train’

Fox News’ Charlie Hurt offered some positive words for “sane Democrat voters” who are attempting to stop the far-left, socialist “crazy train” in their party.

Hurt joined fellow Fox & Friends hosts Lawrence Jones and Ainsley Earhardt in breaking down some of Tuesday’s races, including losses by progressive candidates like Cori Bush in a primary with Rep. Wesley Ball (D-MO).

Jones argued that voters largely reject far-left ideas and “nonsense” and candidates associated with the Democratic Socialists of America, while Hurt argued there are races that show some hope for the Democratic Party.

“It’s kind of funny because obviously we’ve been focusing a lot on a lot of these where the craziest socialists are — because that’s the most important story because if the socialists take over the Democrat Party, the party is doomed,” Hurt said. “But, you know, there have been a number of cases around the country where Democrat voters have decided, like, we’re out of here.”

He then cited Bush’s race, Rep. Al Green (D-TX) losing his primary race back in May, and progressive candidate and sex therapist Maureen Galindo’s doomed campaign in a Texas congressional runoff primary.

Some far-left and DSA candidates, however, have found success, including open democratic socialist and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D), who successfully propped up other candidates through his endorsements.

“Al Green lost his seat to a less crazy person, perhaps maybe even a slightly sane person. Cori Bush, they’re like, yeah, we’re not doing this,” Hurt said. “And of course, remember the candidate in Texas, the sex therapist… who wanted to imprison zionists, and she lost. So obviously the most important, biggest story are all socialists who are taking over the Democratic Party, but there are a lot of sane Democrat voters who are also being like, we’re off this crazy train.”

Progressive liberal Abdul El-Sayed found success among far-left candidates. He saw his race called on Wednesday by several outlets after he held a thin lead over Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) overnight.
