Rudy Giuliani Appears on Both CNN and Fox News to Claim Collusion Isn’t A Crime
The tune, she has changed.
President Donald Trump‘s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, went on both Fox & Friends and New Day to tell the American people that there was no collus– no wait, that was an old script – to tell the American people that he’s not sure collusion is a crime.
That would seem to indicate that Trump maybe, you know, did collude with Russians, and that Giuliani is now saying: it doesn’t really matter.
Speaking to a nonplussed Alisyn Camerota on New Day, Giuliani said: “I don’t even know if that’s a crime, colluding about Russians. You start analyzing the crime. The hacking is the crime. … The President didn’t hack.”
“That certainly is the original crime,” Camerota replied dryly.
Meanwhile, on the other side of things, Fox & Friends‘s Pete Hegseth was practically falling over himself to give Giuliani an award in patience for dealing with the interminable slog of the Mueller investigation.
“Mr. Mayor,” he began, “I read your body language on this almost. It’s almost like,” here crossing his arms like Giuliani, “I mean, come on. How much more could there be?”
“This is a theater of the absurd,” Giuliani agreed. “The president’s innocence… has been proven over and over again. There’s not a single stitch of evidence of collusion.”
But then: “They may have colluded, with somebody else, with themselves, the whole bunch of them, 13, 14 of them… but the president wasn’t involved in it,” he said.
Oh.
