Trevor Noah Tackles Campaign Finance: ‘That’s Real Professional Guys!’

Thursday night’s The Daily Show saw host Trevor Noah take on campaign finance as it pertains to the US election cycle, as he joked, “the long slug is almost over. With an entire year remaining, we’re getting close!”

After the reveal that the 2016 election is expected to cost over $5 billion — compared to “only” $2.5 billion in the 2012 election — Noah lambasted the fact that a reported 158 families have donated $250,000 each towards the current election cycle.

“I bet those houses gave out some serious candy,” at Halloween noted Noah. As for Super PAC, Noah said, “At this point, they’re just showing off.” When Noah introduced the group “Baby Got PAC”, which debuted new pro-Marco Rubio ads at this week’s Fox Business debate, the South African comedian joked, “That’s real professional guys. Which begs the question, which names didn’t you use? I Like Big Bucks And I Can Not Lie?”
